Keiner, der sich einmischt oder die Aufführung unterbricht. Kein Hetzen und kein Ignorieren der Anmut der langsamen Bewegung, die immer wieder geübt worden war.
Wolkenballett, Solo.

Besucher dieses Blogs bat mich, zu erklären, wie man Wolken malt. Gerne. Das wird eine Serie werden, wie das
Apfel Projekt, in dem verschiedene Wolken beschrieben werden.
Los geht´s. Zuerst zeichnet man die Form der Wolke auf die Leinwand, und zwar nur das, was den Himmel wirklich verdeckt. Dann malt man den Himmel, außer der Wolkenform, natürlich. Ich hab dafür Kobaltblau genommen. Bitte experimentieren, es gibt viele mögliche Blaus im Himmel.
Dann malt man die Wolke mit Titanweiß. Man vermeide den Kontakt mit dem nassen Himmel. Nun muß man das Bild wolkig machen. Man nehme eine trocknen Pinsel und schiebe das Titanweiß in kreisenden Bewegungen ins Blaue. Den Pinsel immer trockenhalten, d.h.: KEIN Wasser zum Pinselreinigen, den Pinsel solange auf einem Papier ausstreichen, bis keine Farbe mehr kommt. Man mache dies häufig!
Wolken sind selten flach. D.h. sie haben Licht und Schatten. Man lasse das Licht weiß (Sonnenuntergänge kommen später). Die Schattenseite der Wolken ist Grau. Niemals Schwarz und Weiß für dieses Grau benutzen! Es ist ein sehr farbiges Grau. Ich habe Krapplack, Ocker und Kobaltblau benutzt. Experimentieren bitte! Man nehme sehr wenig Farbe und benutze einen trockenen Pinsel wie oben beschrieben. Die dunkle Seite einer Wolke ist fast immer im unteren Drittel (Außer bei bestimmten Sonnenuntergängen).

viewer of this blog asked me to explain how to paint clouds. Gladly done. It will be another set of pictures like the
apple-project, describing various clouds.
Here we go. First, draw the shape of the cloud (those parts, that really cover the sky) on the canvas. Then you paint the sky, except for the cloud shape. I used cobalt blue here. Experiment, there are (is...) a lot of blues possible in the sky.
Then you paint the cloud with titanium white. Try to avoid contact with the wet sky. Now we have to "cloudiefy" the picture. Take a dry brush and shove the white into the blue moving the brush in a spiral course from white to blue. Always keep the brush dry, meaning: NO cleaning with water, get rid of the paint by painting on a piece of paper until no paint comes off the brush. Do that frequently!
Clouds are seldom flat. That means its volume has light and shadow. Leave the light white (sunsets come in a later post). The darker part of a cloud is gray, or let´s say grayish. Never use black and white for this gray! It is a most colourful gray. I used rose madder, ocher and cobalt blue for this. Experiment! Use very little paint. Use a dry brush, the same way as described above for the "cloudiefying". The shadow almost everytime (except for some sunsets) is at the lower third of the cloud.

Sie versteckten sich hinter der Mauer. Wenigstens dachten sie das. Aber da sie größer waren als sie sich fühlten, waren sie immernoch sichtbar, der eine mehr als der andere.
