How to paint skin 2 - Bart gefärbt

Eitempera - Eggtempera, 12cm x 18cm.
Sososo.

Wellwellwell.
What do we have here.
Dyed your beard?
Come on, get a razor before anyone sees that!

Was keine schöne Erfahrung war.
Naja. Fertig is noch nicht...

Isn´t this worse than the ones before? Yes, I think so. And this is an important observation. A painting-process isn´t a straight line up (or down). You have good phases and bad ones. In the bad phases you sow, in the good ones you harvest.
I had to move the nose downwards. Which was not a nice experience. The cheek is altered a bit, you can still see the black from the background shine through. The ear is a complete nono. And the beard. Well. Get the razor.
But.
Never. Ever. Give. Up.
The mouth ist almost smiling. Very simple to do, if you realize, where a smile takes place. In the corners of the mouth. And only there. Everything else is grinning. Move those corners up a bit and place a convincing schadow around there. Thats it.
Well. It´s far from finished, though.

Herzlichen Gruß

Gerd
