Der Fisch ist mit Lasuren gemalt. Das heißt, Hell und Dunkel ist mit Grisaille gemalt. Nach dem Trocknen sind die Farben ohne Helligkeitswechsel aufgetragen. Der helle Zinnober ist hell wegen dem unterliegenden Weiß, der dunkle Zinnober ist dunkel wegen dem unterliegenden Dunkelgrau.
Man braucht Geduld für sowas. Wenn man die hat, nur zu. Es gibt brillante Effekte in dieser Technik. Wenn nicht, Finger davon, es bringt einen um.

The fish is painted in layers. That means, light and darkness are painted in a grisaille. After drying, the colours are applied without changing the tone. The light vermillion is light because of the underlying white, and the dark vermillion is dark because of the underlying dark grey.
You need patience for this. If you have that, go ahead. There are brilliant effects in this technic. If not, leave it, it will kill you.
