Ich mag Äpfel. Nicht das ich verrückt danach wäre. Sie sind ganz ok. Die leckeren wenigstens. Die, die schlecht schmecken, mag ich nicht. Nee.Es gibt übrigens Äpfel, die lecker aussehen, aber nicht so schmecken. Die sind schwierig. Das mag ich auch nicht. Schwierigkeiten meine ich. Die machen das Leben, tja, schwierig.
Ich frage mich, ob Äpfel Menschen mögen. Wenn ja, müssen die ziemlich masochistisch sein.

I like apples. Not that I am fanatic about it. They´re ok. At least the tasty ones. I don´t like the ones that taste bad. Nah.
There are, actually apples, that look good but taste not so. They´re difficult. I don´t like that either. Difficulties, I mean. They make life, well, difficult.
I wonder wether apples like humans. If so, they must be pretty masochistic, I guess.

Noch eine Schicht transparenter Farbe, und nicht die letzte. Miloriblau im Hintergrund und Kobaltgrün und rubinrot auf dem Apfel. Es gibt jetzt mehr Farbe, aber es wird zu dunkel und der Ton des Apfels wird zu kalt. Also nochmal.
Diese Schichtenmalerei kann endlos weitergehen. Wenigstens in Tempera. Bei Öl ist das anders, nach etwa sieben Schichten ist man in echten Schwierigkeiten.

Another layer of translucent colours and not the last. Miloriblue in the background, and cobaltgreen and rubinered on the apple. It is more colour now, but it gets too dark and the tone of the apple ist too cold. There we go again.
This layer painting can go on forever. At least with tempera. Oil is different, after about seven layers you´re in real trouble.
